Our process enhances superior strain relief, environmental protection, including superior reliability and integrity. Molding utilizes such materials as polyurethane, epoxy, and rubber. Qualastat can build cable assemblies to your drawings or we will design a cable assembly that will meet your needs. Qualastat utilizes the best materials in conjunction with the latest manufacturing processes to supply our customers with reliable cable assemblies. Blown on rubber jacketed cable is manufactured in our facility.
Braided cable assemblies are excellent when there is a need for high flexibility and abrasion resistance. Nylon, Dacron, Keular or other synthetic materials are readily available for harness applications. These materials provide excellent protection and are lightweight. Qualastat is available for consultation and engineering assistance. We will design in whatever is best for your application.
Coaxial cable assemblies are manufactured using state of the art stripping and crimping equipment and tooling. Tight tolerances are maintained ensuring that impedances remain at acceptable values. Qualastat uses various coax cables depending on the electrical properties required as well as the application environment. Qualastat can design the assembly that is best suitable for your particular application.
Conduit Cable Assemblies can be provided using various insulating materials such as: Neoprene, PVC and Teflon. These materials can be used over various core materials that are available depending on your particular application or specification. Very high shielding requirements can be satisfied by utilizing a brass conduit braided with one or two layers of tinned copper wire. Neoprene insulation is generally preferred for outdoor use while Teflon, reinforced with a stainless steel spring, may be used in high temperature applications. Various adapters can be attached on the ends to accommodate various connectors or bulkhead fittings. Please contact us to discuss your particular requirement.
Molded breakouts provide excellent reliability and superior environmental protection. Unlike shrink boots, molded breakouts will not crack or fall apart when subjected to harsh environments. Molded breakouts provide outstanding bonding to the cable jacket which ensures the cable assembly's integrity. Qualastat will design the proper breakout for your particular application.
Backshell Cable Assemblies are generally used for applications that require field repairability. Backshells are available to provide environmental protection while using round cable and are capable of providing EMI/RFI protection where required. Qualastat can assist in the designing of your cable assembly using these components.
