FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE IPC/WHMA-A-620QUALASTAT'S PRESIDENT RECOGNIZED FOR LEADERSHIP IN DEVELOPMENT OF DOCUMENTFT. LAUDERDALE, FL., APRIL 23, 2002-- Vernon Judy Sr., President of Qualastat Electronics, Inc., has been recognized for his leadership in the development of IPC/WHMA-A-620, Requirements and Acceptance for Cable/Wire Harness Assemblies. IPC/WHMA-A-620, a joint project of IPC and WHMA (Wire Harness Manufacturers Association). IPC/WHMA-A-620 is the culmination of years spent in the pursuit of an industry-approved quality standard for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies. As military standards were cancelled throughout much of the '90s, the Cable and Wire Harness industry found itself without a universal standard against which to measure quality. The A-620 has now satisfied that need and will be the universal quality standard for the foreseeable future. As co-chair of WHMA's Industrial Technical Guidelines Committee, Vernon played a vital role in the development and publication of this document. While at the annual WHMA conference in Ft. Lauderdale, Vernon was recognized for his leadership in the development of IPC/WHMA-A-620. Qualastat Electronics was awarded a certificate of appreciation for its continued support in this document's development. In addition, Vernon was awarded WHMA's Bud & Gus Award for outstanding leadership while working on the A-620 project. Vernon is considered to be an expert on this document and has been asked by a number of trade organizations to present the IPC/WHMA-A-620 to their membership. In addition to the lectures he provides, Vernon has kept himself busy with providing direction for the future revision A of the A-620.
