The History of Qualastat Electronics, Inc.

Qualastat began manufacturing operations in 1986. Given the opportunity to reverse engineer a flexible cable assembly led to Qualastat's origin as a designer and manufacturer of flexible circuit assemblies. Manufacturing opportunities involving cable assemblies and wiring harnesses shortly followed and Qualastat was on its way to becoming a fully operational manufacturer of interconnection assemblies. With the addition of in-house AutoCAD capabilities, Qualastat has become a complete turnkey facility. Since its formation, Qualastat has become recognized as an interconnection specialist.

.....In 1988, Qualastat moved to Gettysburg, PA to reap the benefits of the town's friendly, rural community. Realizing that the Department of Defense was downsizing, Qualastat refocused and reorganized. An effort was put forth to become a supplier to commercial OEM's, (Original Equipment Manufacturers), which require high quality and dependable products. These companies have proven to be compatible with Qualastat's existing military business. The results of Qualastat's restructuring have exceeded even the most optimistic expectations.

.....Qualastat's success has been facilitated by some rather significant means. To utilize Qualastat's commitment to service, the company has partnered with several OEM's. Operations are conducted in a 17,000 square foot building and by more than 20 customer-loyal, Quality- conscience employees. Qualastat has just begun to find its stride and continues to pursue recognition as the industry's premier supplier of interconnection assemblies.
