Semi-rigid Cable Assemblies

A New Product Line/Offering

Qualastat Electronics, Inc. is pleased to announce its intention to begin manufacturing semi-rigid cable assemblies beginning the 1^st of September. For years, our customers have been requesting that we support their programs with the manufacture of semi-rigid assemblies. Yet, the capital investment required for the manufacture and test of these assemblies was, historically, too steep. In our 18^th year, Qualastat has the necessary resources to grow our business in this new, exciting direction.

We have on order from Seven Associates the T-7000, which is the top-of-the-line, most comprehensive automated machine on the market. The T-7000 will enable Qualastat to continue focusing on its core competency, value-added engineering support, while providing our customers with price competitive units. Qualastat will be able to develop the drawings determining cable length and layout and, then, use those drawings as the programming for the bending of the assembly. Should the customer already have a proven design, the X, Y, and Z coordinates can be programmed into the machine for a quick, cost-effective turnaround.

Knowing that our customers require the best quality and performance, Qualastat is procuring all of the associated equipment needed to properly strip, point, and terminate the semi-rigid cable. To aid in our quality efforts, our new, state-of-the-art Network Analyzer will provide testing and certification of: impedance, insertion loss, and, when necessary, phase matching. This automated tooling will enable Qualastat to manufacture parts at a fair price while still providing our customers with the same, high-level of quality that has served as our differentiating characteristic since our founding.
